Summary/Abstract: In this study, the author puts forward certain considerations regarding the institution of the will deemed as a source of information. The structure and the content of this study reveal the comments on the legislative historical benchmarks in the matter of will and on the will provided in the Civil Code, considering, for the purpose of the above-mentioned, the doctrine developed by certain famous names in the matter of law (G. Filitti, N. Iorga, D. Rotaru, Liviu Stănciulescu, Gabriel Boroi). Finally, the author puts forward brief considerations regarding the role and the importance of the institution of will.
