Summary/Abstract: This work presents a new view of the novel Ana Zolotti by Abdurezak Hifzi Bjelevac. In this novel the question of border - which can be a place of conflict or dialogue – is being discussed. Bjelevac in his novel also shows the extreme reflection of the border as a place of conflict through the phenomenon of hijra or the journey to exile. One of the prominent issues in the novel is the relation towards the Other. Since this novel contains topics which are still actual, it deserves to be observed in the light of the contemporary literary theories.
