Summary/Abstract: The main aim of this thesis is to prove the importance of economic situation of states on their decision making as whether to enter the war conflict or not. My aim is to develop a general model of decision making, which will describe the willingness of the state to enter the war on the basis of the macroeconomic features. The model was developed and tested on two chosen states / USA and UK/, which have had participated in most of the big conflicts in the 20th century. In the thesis, there are several presumptions as to the decision making and utility, which enable the interpretation of the given facts.
