Future Prospects Final Remarks The point of departure for the studies initiated three years ago on controversial aspects of Polish-German relations was a statement entitled “In Consideration of Our Common Future,” signed by all the Polish foreign ministers from 1989–2005,1 and thus expressing the continuity of Polish foreign policy toward Germany from the moment Poland recovered its independence.
