Influence of the social skills development training on pupils’ self-appraisal

Summary/Abstract: The efficiency of social-psychological training is still not clearly documented. Our research shows, that even the overall level of positive self-appraisal has not grown in the trained group, it doesn’t mean, that the training itself was inefficient. According to our findings the effect of training depends on the quality of leading lecturers and on group atmosphere in the class. Lecturers, that know how to establish good relationship to children and absence of unfriendly atmosphere among children in the group are factors, that support the positive influence of the training on perceived self-appraisal of children.
