Summary/Abstract: The article addresses the matter of sports law as a separate legal discipline, both from the point of view of the object, as well as of methods of the discipline. Thee basic principle of sports law seems to be speci)city of sports, serving as a reason to explain exemptions from the usual rules of other legal branches. Basic rules of sports law therefore seem to be negative rules – as exemptions from traditional rules.
