Problems When Evaluating the Cost of the General Insurance Company

Summary/Abstract: The managerial decisions are directed towards increasing the market value of the general insurance company’s own capital in the context of the financial management. Such decisions are connected with the company’s operative, investment and financial activities. The present article reveals the conception for the value-oriented management of the general insurance company. The problem of evaluating the cost of the company is worked out under the terms of this conception. For this purpose, the model of the discounted cash flow is examined – discounting company’s free cash flows (FCFF).
