Summary/Abstract: The river Pisia is a left-bank tributary of the Ner flowing through the eastern part of the com-mune of Uniejów. The valley stretches over 11.8 km2, of which more than 50% is taken up by mead-ows, 30% by fields, 7% by forests and over 10% by other forms of use. There are many valuable elements of the natural environment, including rare and protected plant species: Dianthus superbus, Lathyrus palustris, Pedicularis palustris, Carex cespitasa and Dactylorhiza majalis. The fauna is represented, among others, by Cervus elaphus, Castor fiber, Grus grus, Cygnus olor, Upupa epos and Buteo buteo. Other attractions include monumental trees and old manor houses with parks in Kozanki Podleśne and Bronów. There are plans to designate the valley as a protected landscape area and to create there a natural landscape complex
