Summary/Abstract: The article is an attempt at interpretation of a memoir narrative by Marceli Najder, entitled Rewanż (Revenge). Diary written in secret by about eighteen months during the Holocaust in the Kołomyja, supplemented by notes drafted right after the war (in the fifties), is also a testimony of the Jewish marriage rescued from the Holocaust. Few, but very important notes of his wife – Pola Najder – complement the Najder’s narrative.
