The population census of Bessarabia in 1824

Summary/Abstract: The article presents a number of previously unpublished data on the tax population census of Bessarabia carried out by a special regional commission for several months of 1824. According to this census, there were more than 100,577 families and 5,619 unmarried persons, or about 508,504 of taxable persons.
