Summary/Abstract: The article focuses on the psycholinguistic aspect of slang words functioning. Such psycholinguistic factors as association, thinking by categories, verbal freedom are described in the article. Also the author determines general psychological nature of the use of vulgar vocabulary and slang euphemisms.
