Summary/Abstract: This thesis deals with post-socialist transformation of society in Kyrgyzstan targetingsouthern part of the country - Talas region. The main goal of this paper is to find answers onsingular objectives concerning everyday life: family, social status of women in the society andinstitution of marriage at pre-Soviet (till 1917), Soviet (1917 -1991) and post-Soviet period(1991 - up to now). Summarizing the changes, whether there have been based ontransformational changes during these periods.
