Urban anthropological study on the example of urbanization Jičín in 1948-1989

Summary/Abstract: The paper presents the view of transformation in the Czech city Jičín during socialistic era.The aim is to capture development of rural town into industrial town. Approach of urban anthropologywas used when answering the research question. The research presents narrativetestimony of informers (inhabitants of the city Jičín) which is compared with “official” data.
