The process of construction of identity on the example of Italians living in the Czech Republic

Summary/Abstract: The study shall delineate identity construction process of foreigners on the example of Italianminority living in Czech Republic. First part is focused on theoretical summary of concepts ofidentity. Goal of the practical part is to introduce the ways of identity construction of Italiansin foreign countries and how they accept their own identity. Another subject of the thesis isgetting to know perception of position in the major society and relationship with theenvironment. Answers are divided into categories as family, language, relationship withmajority, religion, saint days, cuisine and discrimination.
