Summary/Abstract: The abstract refers to the functions of the universities socially involved and to the stakeholders’ theories. It presents the example of best practice carried out between the Legnica Special Business Zone and the universities of the Legnica-Głogów sub-region. In the period of searching new, more efficient models of professional education at the higher level, the case specified here may become the inspiration to commence the cooperation for the local labour market development.
