Summary/Abstract: The most important themes of the teaching of John Paul II in Ukraine and his biblical fundaments were: Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth and the Life (Jn. 14:6); God is love (1 Jn. 4:16[10.14]); dignity of human person (Gn. 1:26-27); Decalogue (Ex. 20:1-18; Mt. 19:16-17); John the Baptist (Mt. 3:3 par.; Ac. 13:25; Ps. 139); to be the light of the nations (Is. 49:6); appurtenance to Christ (Jn. 3:29); unity (Jn. 17:21-23; Ep. 4:1-4); peace (1 Th. 5:23; 2 Th. 3:16); sanctity (RM. 12:10); vocation and authority of the Apostles (Jn. 20:21-23; Ac. 2:3.6.11); Mary Servant of the Lord (Lc. 1:38 Jn. 2:4-5); faith in the Jesus Christ Son of God (Mt. 16:15-16) giving bread and life (Jn. 6:58.68); love of God and neighbours (Dt. 6:5; Jn. 15:13; 12:24; 2 Co. 12:9-10); faithfulness, hope, perseverance (Rv. 2:10; 1 Co. 13:7).
