Summary/Abstract: Introduction to the separate property regime in Polish law – The aim of the paper is to provide clear description of the separate property regime in Polish law. First preliminary issues were given about the characteristic of the Polish legal system and the important for the whole system of law in Poland. Next, the matrimonial property regimes are shortly described. The pivot of the paper is the 3rd part in which the separate property regime is described. The conclusion is that law does not regulate the regime in question in every detail, so for better understanding of the regime one must consult the judgments of the courts and opinions of the representatives of the legal doctrine.
