The Theory of Life History and Criminal Behavior

Summary/Abstract: The aim of the present article is to show the violent crime phenomenon from a life history theory perspective, which is drawn on evolutionary biology but more and more often is being employed in the area of psychology. In recent years there has been increasing interest in the explanations of criminality, which are linked with ecology and evolutionary psychology. This is a review article which draws attention to the possibilities to analyze causes of crime in the context of life history theory.
