Summary/Abstract: This paper presents the results of research on the relationship of personality with a sense of self-efficacy of the Prison Service. The results obtained on the basis of 190 prison officers from the security department, penitentiary and therapeutic. For personality analysis was used Personality Questionnaire (NEO-PI-R) Costa and McCrae. Self-efficacy was measured using the Generalized Self Efficacy Scale (GSES) Schwarzer, Jerusalem and Juczyński. The results indicate that neuroticism, extroversion, openness and conscientiousness and their components are related and affect a significant effect on self-efficacy.
