THE CONCEPT OF AEROSPACE CLUSTERING AND THE CASE OF ESKİŞEHİR AEROSPACE CLUSTER

Summary/Abstract: Clusters are defined as regional conglomeration or network contains critical groups of companies, which are supported by critical resources such as qualified human resources and quality materials and have industry-related R&D practices. Aviation sector hasan increasing importance in the in the world economy. This study aimed to present the examples of aerospace clusters in general of world and in special of Turkey and examine the cluster concept in aviation context. For this purpose, firstof all we tried to analyze the concept of clustering in general and in the light of aviation, and then gave information about aerospace clusters in Turkey. Finally, the case of Eskişehir Aerospace Cluster was analyzed and examined in the point of clustering approach
