Summary/Abstract: This article discusses the poetry of Ivan Teofilov through the figure of the traveling man. The analysis is focused on the concepts of time and space and the ways they are mastered and manifested through various means of movement. The image and the idea of the train, the bus, the dreams and the pedestrian are closely examined, along with those of the airplane, the imagination, the ship, etc. The author analyzes in a separate group the various inanimate and abstract objects which in certain cases in Teofilov’s poetry demonstrate “tendencies“ and “skills“ to move. Treatments of similar themes and topics by other authors are also discussed.
