Summary/Abstract: In the face of our postmodern social politic situation we can say, that the doctrine of the Angelical Doctor has affected not only thinking in the Catholic Church, but also thinking of justice in modern Europe as one that, so understands Europe its own heritage and ancestry and builds on them. From the one hand is his Doctrine the official point of view of the Catholic Church, which awarded St. Thomas Aquinas with title Doctor and his thoughts have been promoted to basic Doctrine of all Catholic schools in 1879 by Pope Leo XIII (encyclical Aeterni Patris). This standpoint has been supported by the Second Vatican Council, which explicitly recommends St. Thomas Aquinas as Doctor, that according to his doctrine, seminarians should Study based on his theological and philosophical works. In Pope John Paul II‟s Encyclical Fides et Ratio and the new edition of Codex of Canon Law (Codex Iuris Canonici) confirmed this recommendation. On the other hand, there is a strong opposition against the works of St. Thomas Aquinas. This opposition was not only during his life, and directly after his death, but is also recognized in today‟s society, where his doctrine is not very reflected. Now we will try to bring near this theological and social revolution of the Middle Age that caused intellectual awakening of Western Europe. I think that so as in St. Thomas Aquinas‟ time so also mostly today are Christians a temptation to close into themselves and somehow run away from the dialog with this world. We do not have strong understanding of his Doctrine in a modern world, but it is still more comfortable for us to “set up walls” of our culture and religiousness and to forget, that God created not only us, but the world too and that everything is from itself substance good created. From that, we can say that many people, who have nothing to do with Christianity or even they fight against it, they have too many fragments of truth of the One who has brought us to life in this world and is still with us.
