Summary/Abstract: My paper deals within the isagogy of the second epistle Saint Peter,concentrated on the theological background of it: christology, soteriology and eschatology themes.Many of the wicked prophets that appeared in the heart of the community denied theperspective of the return of the Lord. That is why Saint Peter resumes this idea assuring thefaithful of the imminence of the second coming of Christ, speaking in this context of the idea of,,new heaven” and ,,new earth” in which virtuousness dwells. Christians are based on the sacrificial service of Christ and through the work of the Spirit of God. For Saint Peter, God‟s righteousness is the key through which He communicates Himself to the people, making then part of His divine nature, and through faith establishing communion.
