Summary/Abstract: Paper aims to approach grammatical time in a broad sense, as integrated in its specific functional-semantic field, with applications and examples in the more restrictive sphere of Russian time adverbs. My interest in the theme is rooted in my activity of teaching Russian as a foreign language, as well as in my attempt to discover a “practical approach, a practical grammar”.
