Summary/Abstract: Anna Teresa Tymieniecka (1923—2014) is a contemporary Polish philosopher of international fame associated with the World Phenomenology Institute, which she funded in the United States in 1976. Her aim was a thorough study of the classical phenomenological thought and choosing an individual way of phenomenological thinking. Tymieniecka found this way in the human experience of the creative act, which she called “the third way”, connecting the position of the natural sciences with a philosophical reflection. Pursuing this way resulted in the author’s concept of phenomenology of life. This phenomenology of the human creative condition, centred upon the issue of the creative act, was to lay the foundation stone for the construction of the building of human knowledge.
