Cultural Heritage of the Church in Tarnów Digital Library

Summary/Abstract: The contemporary protection of cultural heritage includes, among other factors, making valuable pieces of literature available in the digital form. Tarnów Digital Library, launched in March 2010, contains of 559 digital publications which have been divided into seven thematic collections: periodicals; graphics, postcards, photography; letters; regional artifacts and documents; old prints; miscellany and the Municipal Public Library publications. In this library stock there is a great number of works included in the cultural heritage of the Church, and numerous valuable old prints among them. This article includes printed materials published between 1506-1933 and typescripts from 1959 to 1997.
