The Concept Of Security Sector Reform

Summary/Abstract: Although it is theoretically uncompleted, the concept of secu-rity sector reform is of huge practical importance since it is used as an indicator of success when assessing broader processes of social transformation. The meaning and the origins of the con-cept as well as the organizations to which it is being applied are discussed in this paper. The problem of the practical applicabili-ty of holistic and all - encompassing concept such is SSR is also discussed.
