Application of Modern Information Technologies in Hunting and Game Management

Summary/Abstract: The aim of the paper is to present the impact of state-of-the-art technologies on broadly understood hunting management in Poland and abroad. The study is illustrated with examples from several countries. The author deals with practical solutions increasingly successfully applied in the sustaina-ble hunting industry such as the identification and marking of game with radiotelemetric, RFID, GPS or GSM systems. The paper is based on the analysis of pertinent literature and field research carried out in cooperation with specialists from leading research centers in Poland (e.g. Poznań Uni-versity of Life Sciences, Research Center in Czempiń).
