Summary/Abstract: The study proposes a discrete change of paradigm: a hypothesis on the traductology focused on the mentalities. Based on a sequential analysis of the multicultural history of sacred texts translation, the author proposes a new concept: indirect translation, within the target community. The study outlines the drama of the traductologist-hermeneutist in search of mentalities meanings who by his deconstruction - reconstruction inaugurates a space of utopia or of the resignation.
