Summary/Abstract: To some extent a new situation has developed in film production during the last year. There were three Hungarian films showing at cinemas (Hungarian Conquest, Dolly birds, Out of Order), which to date have been seen by more than half a million people. With such audience figures, it will be possible for one or two Hungarian films not only to cover their costs but even to make a profit. Up to now even breaking even seemed inconceivable. And the next film, Zimmer Feri, was already out and showing simultaneously with it in competition at the Film Week. It too aspires to commercial success.
