Summary/Abstract: The article presents the phenomenon of migration literature and constitutes an attempt to classify it on the basis of certain fundamental concepts (identity, migration, location of culture, hybrid). The modern migration literature is a mix of cultures and a space where something original comes into being. It is a new language, narration, character and topic that are characteristic of writers with migration experiences. Therefore, migration literature can be the subject of transcultural research. With this in mind, the article argues that transnational literature should be regarded as “new world” rather than “other” literature, the latter of which has a negative connotation and imposes a stereotypical classification of texts.
