Summary/Abstract: Article presents a genesis and capabilities of the noncommercial Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) available on platforms Coursera, Udacity and EdX. Massachusetts Institute of Technology electronics course 6.002x was selected as a case study. Course curriculum, tasks construction, examination procedures and technical issues are analyzed. Article discusses introduction of MOOC into everyday school practice.
