Summary/Abstract: To identify impending threats to the enterprise as well as the financial soundness of a company, professional theory recommends using one of the many methods – the method of balance sheet II analysis. After the outbreak of the global economic and financial crisis, however the bankruptcy predictive model ceased to be trusted in business circles, as in many cases it did not proveitself. On a sample of bankrupt as well as successful public limited companies listed in Business Journal it is possible to test the statistical percentage of the model and to confirm its further use in practice.
