Clay Model of the “Cradle” from Kalanchak town and Some Aspects of the Early-Middle Bronze Age Chronology in the Dnieper-Donetsk Region

Summary/Abstract: Authors are publishing the graves from mound № 2 excavated in 1978 near Kalanchak town in the Kherson region of Ukraine. The clay model of “cradle” has been found in grave № 9 of the Ingul Catacomb culture. The authors investigate the problems of the interpretation such artifacts as “cradles” and study the disputable questions of the relative and absolute chronology of the Catacomb culture in the Black Sea steppe area.
