Development of the Information Society in Poland in Taking Enterprises Away

Summary/Abstract: The development of the information society has enormous meaning both in the social and eco-nomic arena. In the first part of the article the author conducted statistical analysis of the development of the information society in Poland based on enterprises. In the second part of the study the author compared the degree of the development of the information society in Poland with the degree of the level of development of the information society in UE.On this basis it is possible to measure the degree of the progress of the information society in Poland in the sphere of enterprises.
