Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this study is to offer value-based analyses to the growing economical problems of the globalizing world based on the practices of the historical Ahilik traditions (social and economic solidarity organizations) and to present social policy suggestions accordingly. Given that state-centered monetary and fiscal instruments of modern economic policies have not been successful, it is imperative to consider putting the historically proven success of the Ahilik system in the contemporary world. In this regard, this study discusses if and how the societal and environmental externalizes of production dynamics of capitalism could be minimized by the introduction to the traditional altruistic values and practices of Ahilik tradition.
