The Collapse of Serbian Journalism

Summary/Abstract: The world crisis, which became evident after last year’s financial crash in Wall Street, simply made the state of overgrown media industry obvious and exposed the problems which have been accumulating in the past two decades. However, the collapse of Serbian journalism and the falling ‘fourth pillar of democracy’ of Serbian society have certain peculiarities which make our crisis deeper, and the possible recovery is therefore more uncertain.
