Summary/Abstract: The subject of this presentation are two late Greek icons linked by a common motif – a dark blue background on which are scattered large eightpointed stars. As evident from the title, icon of St. Euthymius is now kept in the Orthodox Museum in Kecskemét and the icon of the Mother of God belongs to the icon collection of the National Museum in Belgrade. Icon of St. Euthymius is published by dr Marta Nagy and connected with the presence of Elassona monks that arrived in 17th Century from northern Greece in Kecskemét, where there was already a Greek colony1. The icon of the Virgin with the crucifixion from the National Museum is now first published.
