Summary/Abstract: The article raises the issue of methods of predicting trends in the macroenvironment for the purpose of making business decisions. The aim of the study was to explore the state of knowledge on methods of predicting trends and the identification of methods used for this purpose by Polish researchers. The article is based on literature studies and analysis of the content of scientific publications devoted to the macro-environment. The results indicate that researchers use a small range of methods for anticipating changes in the macro-environment.
