Summary/Abstract: The work presents the relationship of verbal and non-verbal communication in everyday teaching, but also educational process, as the wider aspect of the overall development of a student’s personality. The special emphasis is placed on the interaction that the communication in a classroom, whether verbal or non-verbal, must cause in order to make the learning process successful and meaningful. Non-verbal signs are of particular importance for teaching (and thus educational) process, as it may reveal hidden aspects of a student’s personality, which is particularly important in an advisory educational work. In this work, the most common non-verbal signs that students express are mentioned, as well as their meanings, which can be of use to teachers and educators in their relationship with students. Given the fact that participants of the communication often encounter difficulties in the communication process, the work presents some of the most common conflicts in the communication. As it is not enough to point out the problem, but try to give a solution as well, the most common methods and strategies to solve conflicts in the communication are named, and the wrong ways of solving the conflicts in the communication are pointed out.
