Summary/Abstract: In the context of the philosophical and the linguistic examinations of the relationship between language and thought, the hypothesis of the computational theory of mind is examined, namely that mental processes are causal and semantic, or semiotic. Several types of semantics - conceptual role semantics, semantics of truth conditions, the verification based semantics, and interpretative semantics are analyzed as possible models of the semiotic analysis of thought processes.
