Summary/Abstract: The analysis of labour market shows that some categories of people are at high risk of being unemployed. It seems to be a good reason to give them priority when it comes to the forms of support provided for the unemployed. Moreover, legislator shows that some forms of professional activity of unemployed are addressed only for these groups and they are authorised for financial benefits. This kind of differentiation of the unemployed status does not constitute a breach of the principle of equal treatment in access to employment and this kind of diversity is allowed on both domestic law and international levels. Issues presented in this article show that people over the age of 50 have special status on the job market.
