Summary/Abstract: The article contains a short analysis of the letter of bank guarantee within the context of its international regulation – Publication No. 758 of The International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Paris and within the context of its internal regulation – the Civil Code and the banking laws. This analysis comes to the conclusion that the letter of bank guarantee is an enforceable title, and that the enforcement is to be carried through according to the common law procedure provided by the Code of Civil Procedure.
