Summary/Abstract: In the system of word-formation in the modern Russian language, there are processes emerging which affect the formation of vocabulary of the contemporary language (process of language internationalisation, word-formation deideologisation process, gradual increase in analytism and agglutination). These processes are the cause of an increasing amount of prefixoids (quasi-prefixes) examined in this article. Prefixoids represent a progressive building component of many compound words of hybrid nature that are formed via new means. Key
