Summary/Abstract: The Law prohibiting discrimination is to a large extent already harmonised with EU Community Law and international human rights standards but equal opportunities and effective protection against discrimination are still not safeguarded. A significant number of activities have been implemented but the progress achieved is still limited. This policy paper advocates for adoption of a strategic document (a public policy) for prevention and combating against discrimination, discusses its presumed impact and provides guidelines for the content as well for the process of development.
