Playgrounds in the areas of health resort parks, as a support of health tourism

Summary/Abstract: Health tourism, which is a conscious and voluntary departure outside the residence in order to improve health, can affect both adults and children. The place of performance of health tourism can be a sanatorium, so both buildings and the space surrounding them, allowing the restoration of strength, elimination of exhaustion, improve health. Health resort park is one of the elements of the sanatorium area, creating a special mood to allow the use of the medicinal properties of its climate in order to improve health. Places of special significance for health, often visited by children are playgrounds, located for example in the vicinity of objects such as graduation towers. In addition to the bioclimatic conditions of playgrounds their equipment is also important. In order to indicate which elements should include a properly designed and built playground, the authors carried out a survey among teachers of preschool education. Based on these data and comparing them with equipment in the playground in the health resort park in Konstancin-Jeziorna attempt was made to assess the suitability of the playground to ensure that children using the facility, have the appropriate conditions for the improvement of health and the development and fun.
