Fallen woman. On a street

Summary/Abstract: A comparison of three street performances by Anna Janczyszyn-Jaros, Joanna Rajkowska and Angelika Fojtuch. Their common feature was the notion of crawling on the street. The reactions from the ‘normal’ pedestrians varied from amazement to aggression. Either way, by using their bodies as obstacles for traffic, the artists forced the others to notice them and refer to the unexpected event, sometimes even to change their perception of space.
