Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this article is to present the concept of a charge for availability in the public-private partnership. First, the mechanism of the public-private partnership will be discussed together with the basic notions of a charge for availability which was introduced to the Polish legal system by virtue of the Act on Private-Public Partnership dated 19 December 2008. The paper also touches on the practical aspects of functioning of a charge for availability in public-private partnership.
