Summary/Abstract: The representation of volumen in Roman Empire, on funerary monuments, is very common. The simbolic charge of these representations is not yet fully understand by the modernresearch. The most numberous representations of volumen in roman world appears on the aedicula walls; but the volumen can appear also on stelae and other types of roman funerary monuments. Probably these represetations means that the owner is a roman citizen, in other hypotesis it can indicate philosophical or artistical inclinations of the deceased. Never the lease these representations indicates the existance of “models” or “templates” copiated at the entire roman world. This paper tryes to present the existance of this “templates” or “models” in Roman Dacia.
