Summary/Abstract: The objective of the research done in this work is establishing the concept of the history of the motif of the dead darking in the Serbian poetry, the review of diverse influences within the poetry itself (the influence of the world literature on the making of the Serbian literature, unquestionable reflection of the Serbian Romanticism in the poetry of the twentieth century, as well as mutual influence of the poets of the twentieth century). The text is dedicated to the analysis of the motif of the dead darling and the ralation of death, love, and poetry in the interwar literature, or more precisely in the potry of Milos Crnjanski, Rastko Petrovic and Momcilo Nastasijevic
